Pros: The building has such character and history and the host was really friendly and helpful

Cons: Its an old building so there were a few big spiders but its to be expected, especially in September

Great spot for a group playing DnD!

Pros: Really cool building and did a great job of keeping the Church but also modernising it! We went to play Dungeons and Dragons with a group of 6, and it was perfect. It rained so we didnt get to explore the pathways nearby too much, but if we came back we would! The coffee machine was a french press, so bring ground coffee if you like to have that in the morning. The area is very quiet and we slept great. The pub that the owner suggested and a short walk away was great, but you should def book for sunday lunch as they get busy!

Cons: Some of the lightbulbs were dead, so it wasnt as well lit at night as it could be. Also there were a lot of flies! Putting some fly traps might help. Additionally there was no dishwasher cleaner tablets, and someone previously seemed to have put washing up liquid in the little drawer meant for rinse aid, so the dishwasher didnt work as well as it should have. We left tablets for the next person, but would be good for the owner to leave 1 or 2 of these for guests (And so the dishwasher doesnt get damaged!)

Family funeral stay made all the better for this lovely property

Pros: House was very unusual, clean and well equipped with plenty of extra equipment if needed and big enough for all 5 of us and visiting family. Lovely peaceful location in countryside.

Cons: Downstairs bedroom was very cramped and bedding was of a low standard. Comfortable bed and nice bedding would’ve made all the difference.

Gorgeous accomodation, highly recommend

Pros: The property is absolutely gorgeous and the facilities were very good. The surrounding area is quiet and safe. The host replied quickly to my messages and was very helpful. Overall I would recommend and I would stay here again.

Cons: The downstairs bath didn't work properly - I think this has been mentioned in prior reviews. The tap runs extremely hot and it's not possible to turn it to a more temperate setting. You can get along with it if you fill the bath and wait, or also pour cold water in - but not ideal. The host did reply quickly to my message and send a plumber, but he mentioned he'd been there several times previously for the same issue. Overall an incredibly gorgeous place, would be great if they resolved the downstairs bath.

As a 3 generational family we had a great time visiting more family in the area.

Pros: It was a fantastic find. So many individual items of historical interest. The old and new cleverly combined. It was so warm despite the size and always plenty of hot water.

Cons: Some of the mattresses were a little soft but that was just a personal preference. A little more lighting in the evenings would be nice but not a necessity

End of October visit.

Pros: We visited the area for a family wedding. An incredible venue that would be hard to beat.

Lovely rural surroundings, building steeped in history with many eclesiastical decorations.

Pros: Quiet location. Building at end of lane (despite sat nav saying we had arrived at destination about 1/4 mile earlier). Exceptional conversion of church. Good, safe outside area for the children. Well appointed kitchen.

Cons: Everyone found the beds very soft (we're obviously a family of firm bed lovers!!).

A wonderful base from which to attend a family wedding.

Pros: The building and location is outstanding with garden and seating ample for our family gathering plus walks from the property. The weather was sunny but in inclement weather there is room for everyone to relax and enjoy company relaxing or eating. The kitchen is modern and has everything needed to cook large meals and is easy to use. Bedrooms are also spread out from each other with the stained glass window a bonus in one. quiet for sleeping. Plenty of parking and very easy to locate the property. very beautiful.
