Mersea best kept secret

Convenient location for our visit to relatives. Our three dogs enjoyed it too.

Pros: The property is very spacious and well equipped. Very clean, neat and tidy.

Cons: There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

A peaceful stay on Mersea.

Pros: Lovely quiet location. Bed was soft but comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Amanda was helpful answering questions etc. Great views of the sea.

Cons: There could have been a welcome guide just to tell you where the switch for the oven etc was and how to use it. It would have been good to include how to reach the beach from the property too. If you are bringing dogs the area isn’t secure. There is grass but it is even less secure. It wasn’t obvious (unless I missed it) on the booking description. A heated towel rail would be beneficial in the bathroom. The bathroom is the otherside of the property to the bedroom. Sofa covers were ripped and covered by blankets which had dog hair on. Fine if that was because we bought the dogs (we always bring our own covers too!) but I wouldn’t like that if I didn’t have dogs. The TV aerial was intermittent at best so we didn’t watch tv in the end at all.

Sweet little hideaway

Pros: Lovely quiet location and great dog walks. The sea is close by and the accommodation has everything you need. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Cons: Nothing, we had the best time.

Pros: A lovely stay in a gorgeous barn! So peaceful and felt very remote. Would highly recommend.

Perfect property, perfect location and perfectly peaceful.

Pros: Perfect location, very close to the vineyard and beach. Very peaceful and relaxing. The property is very well maintained and decorated and has absolutely everything you need and lots of space for two. We don’t bring our dog but wish we had.

Perfect location for walking cycling. Accommodation has been done very well .

Pros: Beautiful property,fantastic dark night sky,big bedroom huge kikchen,comfortable couch.Great selection of books to look at.

Cons: The couch looked at the wall which was only a few feet from the wall,would have loved to see the outside,the lower couch was uncomfortable,smart tv did not have an aerial,we didn't have any codes to use Netflix etc,

Peaceful, lovely local restaurants good for walking, cycling, and water sports.

Pros: Very quiet, modern clean and everything you could need.

Cons: Hardly worth mentioning but a microwave oven might be a useful addition ?

Brilliant weekend get away

Pros: Wonderful, spacious barn conversion with a hayloft, a fabulously comfortable bed and the cosiest underfloor heating. We read, did jigsaws, cooked in the evenings keeping cosy and explored the island on foot during the day with footpaths to the beach and village close by and all the seafood you could want.
