Colemans Cottage Fishery

Great stay. Great fishing. Great staff. Great little cafe.

Pros: Had a great stay. Came for the fishing had a great time caught lots even if was a bit cold. Stayed in the lovely little pods over looking the lakes had everything we needed.

Cons: Ended up in wrong property. Maybe bit our fault a bit Gerry leading us to the wrong property when we turned up early. Luckily it was sorted easily enough.

We loved staying here as a short but local, respite. A world away it felt and we thoroughly enjoyed a birthday full brea

Pros: The view and the compact facilities and excellent hot shower

Cons: Bit slippy on stairs and veranda due to the rain. We suggest some kind of rubber grip down.

Nice mini break

Pros: The cafe does a fab breakfast. The pod was clean and the jacuzzi was lovely.

Cons: Couldn't have a bbq because there was no covered area in the rain and it was throwing it down.

So comfortable and felt like at home and people were so lovely and very welcoming would definitely go back

Great stay

Pros: Lovely stay, robes, slippers and plenty of towels. Really nice breakfast on site. Quiet location.

Pros: Very quiet and relaxing, my wife and I needed peace after a great weekend at radio 2 party in the park , staff were really friendly and helpful, even offering to drive us to the event. Jet bath was a bonus outside our pod Breakfast was also very good .you pay extra for this but we'll worth it The owners came and sat with us Sunday morning, and it was a great conversation talking about everything. It was a great place to stay A proper family business

Peaceful pod getaway in Essex

Pros: Exactly as advertised, staff (family ran) were excellent. Pods were very clean and little touches like the fresh milk were a welcome bonus. Hosts had the time to sit and talk gave us tips of where to go and the local roads etc. Very quiet, the on site restaurant open 9-3 six days of the week was very good.

Cons: No issues at all, loved it. The restaurant would be closed on Wednesdays but that didn't bother us.

Blissful stay

Pros: Peaceful and quaint fishing retreat. Pods are spacious and comfy enough for what you need. The onsite cafe offers a great breakfast as well as other options for lunch or a snack. Each pod has a BBQ for your own use if you wish. I didn’t do any fishing myself but the abundance of choice where to fish on your doorstep is a bonus for those fishing enthusiasts. This was a wonderful little getaway just to switch off and relax. Nothing much else in the surrounding area but we didn’t mind that (the small local town is a 5min drive away). Oh and a special shout out to the owners who were very friendly and welcoming.

Cons: No negatives really but the cobwebs inside and outside of the pod could have been wiped away before arrival.

Amazing

Pros: Everything was amazing. Beautiful pod, hot tub was amazing, fishing is great and very looked after fish, I would recommend 100%, will definitely come again. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
