Excellent accommodation and location.

Pros: We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area. The fishing lakes added a scenic backdrop. The facilities within the lodge were first class.

Cons: The public road leading up to the properties was in need of repair.

Amazing stay

Pros: Stayed here many times in the last couple of months working away always clean and tidy staff are amazing and always a cold beer in the fridge upon arrival 10/10

Peaceful and Cozy

Pros: The location was very scenic and so peaceful, and we loved the amazing cafe. The lodge had a spacious layout with a full kitchen and roomy bathroom, which helps a lot when 4 adults are staying together. The single beds were a little narrow but comfortable overall. The parking space was very generous and conveniently close to the door. It felt very private even when the other lodges were occupied. The cafe was VERY popular, and many people brought their dogs, which were all well-behaved and adorable. There was also a friendly cat who likes to sleep on the couch in the cafe, and sometimes come and say hello at your table if you offer some head scratches. If the weather had been better, the surrounding area looked great for walking, but it was sadly too muddy for the shoes we had with us. There was an issue with the fridge when we arrived (the previous guest had damaged it) but the owner came to check it within a few hours of me reporting it to her.

Cons: There weren't enough towel hooks for everyone to dry their towels and no shelf in the shower meant you had to keep bottles and soap on the floor where they were harder to reach and keep clean. An area to hang wet coats would have been very helpful too. There was no sanitary bin in the bathroom, but we were able to borrow one from family, I'm sure the owner would have provided something if we had requested it. It would have been helpful to have more mirrors than just one small one in the bathroom, but we understand why rentals like this try to stay just the bare essentials. The floors were very hard to keep clean, only a broom and dust pan were provided, so we ended up borrowing a vacuum from family every other day.

I would definitely recommend and come again! Lovely and relaxing!

Pros: The pond, the nature and the quiet. The cafe was adorable and staff was very sweet and accommodating. The food was good. The staff were lovely -especially Ollie . Claire was very sweet and enjoyable to talk to.

Cons: The doors just wouldn’t lock, except one time we were able to finagle the doors to lock but after that, we couldn’t. Locks shouldn’t be that difficult to lock. We felt reasonably secure going off and leaving it due to the isolation factor. Also, we would have given the comfort level 10 stars but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. We also had a hard time getting responses to our calls (we had a couple of questions about locks, etc. , but did not get called back. I believe they owner was on holiday, so that could be it) Otherwise, everything was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I loved the little cafe kitty! He was a highlight to my day!
