A delightful Tudor cottage in the country - with all mod cons!

Pros: Well equipped cosy house with eccentric features, related to its history and age. We were sad not to be able to enjoy the enclosed garden - due to rain and cold. However, it would be a fun place to be in warmer weather. The town itself is pleasant and it was great not to have to drive anywhere, once we landed

Fabulous cottage wonderful location

Pros: The cottage was amazing, everything you needed, a beautiful welcome hamper. Treats for our dog with a blanket. Pretty cottage and fantastic enclosed courtyard garden. Comfortable beds. A short walk into town with a good pub nearby. Lots of dog walks.

An excellent cottage - well recommended

Pros: This was an excellent holiday. The owners had put a lot of thought into the presentation of the cottage and what visitors may wish to find - particularly for those arriving in the late evening. It was so welcoming. We found everything that we could want and had a really relaxing stay in a wonderful market town.

Cons: We found nothing wrong with any of: the cottage, our stay, the booking process, the owners, the communications, the location, etc.

Really wonderful Christmas retreat

Pros: It was all great, we were there for Christmas and arrived to tree and fairy lights, a seasonal hamper and Christmas music. Very luxurious, perfectly places in a quiet and ancient street in the middle of Saffron Walden ... very close to the main car park. And great garden and nearby walks for the dog. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming.

Stunning Stay 5* Countryside Chic.

Pros: Absolutely amazing cottage to stay with a royal welcome. This little place is so beautifully presented and you really do get a special welcome. Everything is stylish, comfortable, and delightful.

Relaxing and felt very homey . Just the ticket for recharging the batteries

Pros: Beautiful updated period cottage and garden . Comfortable and clean with a generous welcome basket and other provisions. I arrived to lamplit rooms and Nora Jones on the stereo so there wasn’t that cold sterile feeling you can get sometimes . Lovely log burning fire and fuel was a nice touch on one slightly chilly evening too . Helen and Alex are very communicative hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them .

Cons: I love old houses and this is a great example of a 16th century cottage .
