Spacious, relaxing stay

Pros: Very spacious, peaceful and quiet. Had everything we needed The dining room was perfect for all the family

Fab traditional stone family house

Pros: A lovely Country location, great garden and a spacious outside seating and barbecue area. Inside bedrooms large and well equipped for our party of 12. Fab lounge and dining room. Loved the features of the house almost like a little stately home

Cons: It was great but couple of things... 1.A little remote for easy access to supermarkets and other facilities. 2.House was lovely but needed a bit of attention to ensure everything was spotless and clean. We had to wash some pots and China that were put away unclean.

A wonderful East Suffolk base to explore from and come back to.

Pros: Overall a wonderful house, set in lovely, safe grounds in a perfect, quiet location a short drive away from many different attractions. The house itself was very clean and well equipped, from kitchen gear to appliances, to books, board games and outdoor games - and of course the hot tub, which was also very clean and easy to use. Our group of eleven, including two children and a dog, made good use of all of it. Katie was incredibly helpful and responsive with any questions we had.

Cons: A few things in the house felt like they were due some maintenance or replacements, like the electric cooker in the kitchen which was very slow, a couple of the mattresses which have seen better days and a bedroom door which wouldn't close. The only real annoyance was the loud and vibrating water pump however - it made the water pressure great but switched on whenever someone used a tap or a toilet anywhere in the house, and was loud enough to wake people up in all of the bedrooms, so not great for groups with people who enjoy a siesta or an early night.

A fantastic holiday house for a large family group.

Pros: It was a beautiful, comfortable house that was cosy and relaxing with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The hot tub was great and the garden, games room and toys were brilliant for the big and little kids. The setting was peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts had thought of everything. We had a food delivery to the house which worked out well as there are no shops nearby. The house is a 20 min drive from Rendlesham forest and Thorpeness and Aldeburgh is only a little further.

Cons: There was nothing we could fault about the property.

Perfect

Pros: Everything, it was perfect for us, so much space. Home from home. Hot def a bonus in the evening, gated back garden are however not secure around property so if you have dogs just be mindful not to let off lead in open area, Thank you for the box of M&S Biscuits :) dog walking was lovely throughout the forest locally. Definitely would book again.

Cons: Only thing I would advise is on route grab essentials like milk, bread butter etc as local shops was 8 minutes drive away in village and was closed so next location for a Tesco express was another 20 minutes drive.

Very Special Place to Host Family Events

Pros: The property was absolutely gorgeous and so well maintained. A lot to do to keep adults and children occupied.

Pros: Lots of space for the 14 of us to enjoy time together or apart. A big enough dining table for us all to sit round for meals. Lovely garden and views. The hot tub was big enough for 4 at a time. The table - football in the games room was a fun extra activity. Beds were made up beautifully with towels and everything we needed provided. Two fridges gave us enough space for all the food. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, pots and pans - lovely double cooker with two ovens to cook for us all and dishwasher with dishwasher tablets provided. Key lock made it easy to get in and leave it somewhere safe when we didn't know who would be back first.

Cons: One of the lounge rooms (the drawing room) smelt so strongly of wood smoke that we all tried to pack into the living room which wasn't really big enough for us all to be in at once. It's fine if you like that smell though! There was a smell of heating oil as we went in the side door that was sometimes quite strong and slightly concerning. As it is quite near the coast the wind brought the outside temperature down so we didn't spend as much time outside in the garden as expected on the sunny days but it was lovely to visit the quay nearby and Rendlesham forest was more sheltered and a good place to explore.

Eleven Ladies..60th Birthday Weekend

Pros: The Firs..was a beautiful house & was very well equipped..There were 11 of us Ladies celebrating a 60th Birthday.....We all had a fabulous time. ..& the Hot Tub..was great fun..for the not exactly \

Cons: We as a group of 11 ladies who have been going away together for 16 years...have NO complaints.

Gorgeous property in an amazing location

Pros: A gorgeous property in a stunning location in the Suffolk countryside. So peaceful. The house has everything you could need and more. We will definitely return.
