The Pelican Guesthouse

Pros: Jackie was a lovely chatty host, made to feel welcome and gave us great recommendations for dinner at the Bird in Hand and an afternoon exploring Wymondham. The shower was lovely and everything was spotless. Was like staying at grandma's house (in a good way)

Cons: Would have liked a proper coffee at breakfast but if that doesn't bother you then can't fault it

Friendly, homely, great value

Pros: Our stay exceeded our expectations. There is a gorgeous lounge we were encouraged to use where our extended family could relax, chat and drink tea - and wine before the party we were going to! - which was a wonderful surprise. It really felt like home. The breakfast has everything we wanted and more - it was huge!

Pros: The guest house was a listed building and had original features and kept it's charm.

Great place to stay

Pros: The owner, Jackie, is very friendly and welcoming. The B&B was perfect for what we needed, returning from family funeral, it was lovely to be able to relax in the lounge area all together. Rooms were great, comfy beds, all facilities were clean and well presented.

Pros: Such a lovely guest house with great character! The host, Jackie, is so lovely! She was an absolute pleasure to talk too and was so helpful and thoughtful. Plenty of parking, decent breakfast in the morning. Two lovely restaurants around 15 min drive away.

Pros: Lovely chat with owner over breakfast. Was a bit disappointed it was a continental breakfast. I hadn't realised full English was only on weekends. However what we had was nice and the chat was very interesting especially as she knew so many people my partner knew growing up in the area.

Nice rooms and staff

Pros: Lovely Bed and Breakfast .. good value for money ,slight disappointment was cold breakfast only, but even then s good variety of bread , and cerial.

Very welcoming and comfortable.

Pros: Breakfast was continental style with good choice and plentiful.

Cons: It is a very rural location requiring car transport to nearby towns and facilities.

An excellent place to stay, particularly after a long drive!

Pros: We liked. the character of the pace. Th lounge area was very comfortable with an excellent television including Sky channels. The pearling is excellent. Jackie was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She advised us about the local Chinese takeaway (excellent) and laid a table for us to eat at on Saturday evening.

Cons: We didn’t dislike anything!

Lovely comfortable and stylish stay

Pros: We loved our beautiful stylish room with very comfy Kingsize bed and lush pillows. The shower was nice and powerful with a very nice addition of complimentary shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was self service continental only but a good selection to choose from. We would definitely recommend The Pelican
