Perfect getaway close to pubs and beaches

Pros: Quirky little cottage full of character - very comfortable

Cons: nothing really - the sloping floors and stairs added to the experience

Cosy little hobbit cottage for agile people

Pros: Good location in Aldeburgh. Quiet, had all the facilities we would expect. The bedroom was pleasant and it had a comfortable bed. A large bathroom, with plenty of space.

Cons: The ceiling in the kitchen/entrance room was quite low, we would have liked to have been warned about this. The table and chairs in the kitchen were rather tired and could do with being replaced. The sitting room was ok but again a little worn and the rug looked like it could do with a good clean. But as we were using it just as a base it was ok. I think clear instructions put on the bins outside would have been useful, as I could see that bottles had been disposed of, previously, in the wrong bin (sorry but I wasn’t willing to sort it out)

Great hidden cottage in the heart of Aldeburgh

Pros: Great cottage in the heart of Aldeburgh. Everything provided for a short stay. Really nice outside space.

Cons: The stairs are steep but we did know that. Would prefer a frosted bathroom window but understand that isn’t always possible.

Tiny cottage, hidden away, near the sea front in Aldeburgh. Everything you need plus a lovely sunny garden.

Pros: This was a very pretty but tiny cottage. The location was excellent , very close to the sea front and the town. It had a big west facing garden which stayed sunny until very late. It was very quiet and the king size bed was comfortable. There was a good shower and a big bath. It had everything we needed.

Cons: The kitchen ceiling was very low and because we are tall (5’10 and 6’4) it was a problem. We literally couldn’t stand up. The access to upstairs was via an 8 step vertical ladder and a rope. Luckily we are fit and able and it wasn’t a problem. But it might have been. However, regardless of these issues we would stay here again because otherwise it was lovely.
