Just what we needed!

Pros: Quiet. Had all the facilities anyone could need and it was very comfortably furnished. Lots of little extra nice touches. Comfortable bed. Nice welcome pack.

Pros: Here's a review for that perfect apartment: This apartment was an absolute dream! From the moment I stepped in, it was clear this was the perfect place to stay. It was incredibly well-stocked with everything I could possibly need, making my stay effortless and comfortable. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and tidy, a true testament to the care put into it. Its central location was ideal, putting everything within easy reach. What truly set this experience apart, though, were the owners/hosts. They were absolutely perfect – going above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of fantastic. Their dedication and helpfulness made all the difference. I can't recommend this property highly enough; it truly is the perfect choice for anyone visiting.

Perfect holiday cottage

Pros: Chestnut Cottage was an amazing find and exceeded our expectations. The bungalow was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and the facilities and the attention to detail 1st class. There were welcome treats provided that were much appreciated. The accommodation details on the website don't do the bungalow justice! There is a smart TV, DVD player, Alexa, games, books, DVDs. The kitchen cupboards have a good selection of condiments, etc. The bed is huge and very comfortable, plus there is lots of storage space for clothes in the bedroom. This is a fabulous, compact, well thought out property. We have no hesitation in recommending Chestnut Cottage to friends and family and hope to stay again soon.

A peaceful, extremely comfortable cottage

Pros: Our second visit and even better than we had remembered it. Great attention to detail and a lovely 'welcome pack'. Perfect.

Beautiful accommodation and genuinely thoughtful hosts.

Pros: The property is conveniently located, being only a short walking distance from the village centre. It is spacious, beautifully set out, immaculately clean, and wonderfully well equipped. Our hosts were extremely warm and inviting and took every care to ensure we enjoyed our stay. A particularly thoughtful touch was the provision of a generous welcome pack on our arrival. We look forward very much to visiting again in the future.

Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect. The property and the service we received far exceeded our expectations. Chestnut cottage felt like home from home.

An absolute joy

Pros: A delighfully furnished and decorated cottage with private garden and furniture, and absolutely every need catered for in the facilities provided including toiletries, sewing kit, books, guidebooks, notelets, etc. Everything for a stress-free and relaxing break.

Cons: Bedroom lighting was a little low as we like to read in bed, but this was only a minor detail.

A great 11 day stay - heaps of great country walks and pubs.

Pros: Chestnut cottage is so spotlessly clean, well equiped and a real home from home. It's also in an ideal location for so many places to visit. Janet was so friendly, too. Felt very content. Truly one of the best places we've ever stayed.

Pros: A lovely cottage in a beautiful village. The cottage was really well equipped with lots of little extras in the kitchen, including a few nibbles and treats upon arrival. Once inside, the cottage is all on one level which is handy for anyone with accessibility needs.
