Comfortable modern lodge in great location

Pros: Well equipped and comfortable with nice decor inside and seating on decking. Great location. Dog friendly and all on one floor was helpful.

Cons: Dog friendly and no extra charge but if individual fencing to pen in a terrier could be added then more relaxing when sitting on decking. Lots of rabbits to chase!!

Peaceful, well-equipped retreat in a beautiful countryside setting

Pros: The property is in a tranquil location, with countryside walks right on your doorstep. You can walk to Flatford Mill, which is set beside the river and features a coffee shop and an exhibition of John Constable’s paintings. The property itself is well presented and spacious enough for a comfortable stay. We especially loved that it’s dog friendly—our little dog thoroughly enjoyed lounging in the sun on the decking. There are also several outdoor seating areas that catch both the morning and afternoon sun.

Cons: Visitors are asked to wash and dry all crockery and cutlery at the end of their stay, as well as strip the beds and leave used towels in the bath to assist the cleaners—which we think is perfectly reasonable. Unfortunately, the previous guests had put dirty cups and plates back in the cupboards. It wasn’t too much trouble to rewash everything, but it was an unpleasant start to our stay.

Perfect in every way !

Pros: The Haywain is an exceptional property and a pleasure to have stayed in. The location is superb; quiet and convenient for exploring so many different places. It was spotless and so well equipped and extremely comfortable. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you.
