Cons: N/A - couldn't find a fault!

Lovely relaxing stay in Essex Countryside!

Pros: Acorn Cottage was just perfect. We especially enjoyed the location. Pretty and tranquil. The cottage is comfortable with a cosy feel. It is well equipped with lovely rural views. Our little dog enjoyed the doorstep walks and enclosed garden. Within easy reach of pubs, cafe and eating places. It was nice to relax in the large bath and later sample the thoughtful welcome pack. A lovely touch. The cottage was as described. Parking was an added bonus too. Communication with the host was professional and helpful. Loved looking through the children's reading books written by the owner. Would recommend this accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas 🎄 break

Gorgeous cosy property

Pros: A gorgeous property with lots of room and open space outside. Perfect for a weekend getaway. It is very well equipped and the hosts are extremely helpful, even leaving welcome gifts

Pros: So many extras over than expected. And a treat of shortbread and alcohol always welcome ! It felt like home, very safe, very secure.

Cons: The only thing would be more mirrors ! There's no mirror in the twin bedroom.

A rural idyll in Essex

Pros: This is a beautifully thought out cottage in a peaceful location near a delightful village. We were very happy with the house and our nice welcome. The gifts of beer and super cookies were much appreciated. The linen, towels and kitchen supplies are top quality. The tranquility, bird song, peacefulness were just what we had hoped for. The alpaca, visiting rabbit and horses we had not expected and were lovely too. We walked to Finchingfield via the river path. You should be aware that the path beside the river is not used often and was quite overgrown when we went. We had an interesting visit to the church and a delicious lunch in the Fox pub.

Cons: Our one request to Catherine would be to upgrade the garden furniture when she is able. We had fabulous weather, but it was too sunny to sit outside without a garden umbrella and softer chairs. We sat in the living room with the doors open to see and hear the birds and horses. It did not spoil our stay, but it would have been nice to be in the garden. Definitely not a complaint, just a suggestion.

Countryside Heaven

Pros: Set in beautiful quiet countryside, just 2 mins from Finchingfield, surrounded by nature. The setting is perfect for relaxing and tranquillity. You have everything you need in this stunning cottage. It truly is perfection 👌.. The Host really has thought of everything. Everything is clean and tidy.
