Pros: We booked Merry Lakes very last minute for my partners birthday and couldn’t have been happier with the decision. The setting was peaceful, the house was beautifully kept, and everything felt thoughtfully considered. The highlight for us was absolutely the heated pool and the sauna, it was a real treat to have, especially in the cold weather!

Cons: Only that we wish we had stayed longer!

Luxury spacious private stay with spotless furnishings and facilities

Pros: Recently refurbished house with plenty of space, large high ceilings and private setting but with excellent easy access to trains and london. We loved seeing the horses playing together in the paddock beside. The facilities were perfect for a weekend getaway with friends we barely left the house. Swimming pool, sauna, large bbq patio area and a separate patio with fire pit.

A dream getaway! Thank you for having us.

Pros: What an incredible stay. Great hosts and beautiful home. Self check in was easy, and much appreciated the welcome basket after the long journey. Pool was warm, sauna was great and everyone had a wicked time. All in all a lovely experience (bonus points for the gardener who was not only helpful but also rather lovely to look at)! Will definitely be back, thank you David & Ellie!!
