Brilliant place would book again

Pros: Lovely cottage, with all the amenities you could need! In a nice quiet location just a short walk or drive from St Osyth. Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for more. Clear instructions were given from Melanie so checking in was a breeze and some nice treats in the fridge. Will definitely come back.

Comfortable cosy cottage

Pros: Cosy comfortable cottage. Good facilities and very warm. Secure garden space for our dogs

Cons: Road a little noisy Very windy when we stayed and hole above front door created a loud whistling noise. A colander would be a useful addition to the kitchen

Lovely clean and welcoming cottage

Pros: Location was great . Very clean . Nice gesture with welcome items . Easy access .

Cons: Mattress and bed linen could have been to a higher standard . To make it perfect would have liked a toilet upstairs .

Pros: The cottage was lovely! So clean & cosy.. Lovely little village & in a great location for Clacton & Walton on the Naze. Brilliant if you want to use the inflatable park across the road too!

A lovely cosy cottage.

Pros: A lovely cosy cottage that was like home from home. All rooms were really clean and the bed very comfy.We had a lovely 3 night stay and wished we had longer. Our 2 miniture daschunds loved the garden and the llakeside walks.Host Melanie was very helpful and answered all questions we had. The treats left in the fridge on arrival were a nice touch. We had everything we needed during our stay even dishwasher and washing tablets were provided. We were also lucky enough to have a later check out to.Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definately be returning in the near future.

Cons: The curtains in the main bedroom were a little thin and let the early morning light in. That is all. It would not stop us staying again.

Perfect location and cosy.

Pros: Had everything we needed. Close to where we wanted to go with our dog. Beds were comfortable and spacious.

Cons: The curtains in the bedroom were a little thin but we managed to put our spare towels up at the window to help.

Pros: Lovely location, tucked away in an interesting area, wonderful walks right on the doorstep. Very clean with comfortable beds.

Cons: No upstairs loo, but as long as you’re aware it doesn’t matter.

Short but sweet. Comfortable, clean & inviting

Pros: Lovely little cottage! Warm, clean, modern & smelt amazing! Nice decor with lots of homely touches, tv's with streaming apps like Netflix in lounge & master bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher & washing machine. Bathroom with complimentary shampoo/conditioner/bath wash/bath salts/bubble bath. Beds comfortable & lots of places to hang/store clothes. Dog friendly with a decked/pebbled garden. Parking is literally 30 seconds walk. Only downsides are stairs to the bedrooms are very steep due to being an old cottage (care needed with young children or people with mobility issues) & curtains in bedroom thin so light comes through early hours but really such small downsides to a lovely home. If you want a clean, warm, comfortable place to stay mill dame lake house is the place for you. Would definitely recommend ☺️
