A real gem!

Pros: The staff were all helpful and friendly: the food was superb: the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was delightful.

Cons: Apart from a rather noisy heating or air conditioning system at some part of the night it was in every respect a wonderful stay.

We will stay at the same hotel if we visit Framlingham again.

Pros: The location was perfect. Staff was very friendly and kind. We also enjoyed the historic atmosphere of the building and nice breakfast.

Generally great, with a few minor issues

Pros: Overall great. Friendly staff, comfortable room. Slept well.

Cons: Evening meal was disappointing and it was a bit odd that they closed at 9pm.

Quirky building, convenient for my visit.

Pros: Good breakfast . Would ask for a bedroom remote from the noisy exhaust fans. Though they do switch off at night.

A lovely historic property with a cosy bar and restaurant and comfortable, well-equipped rooms.

Pros: Ideal location in the centre of town and a lovely historic property.

Cons: I travelled alone for business, paying quite a substantial rate for bed & breakfast. The breakfast does not start until 08.00. This is too late for many business travellers and I think they should really start at 07.00 or 07.30 at the latest on weekdays to provide a proper service. They should also put a cereal/fruit/pastry selection out as soon as breakfast starts, as hot food is cooked to order and takes a little while to prepare. All this would make it easier to get ready in time for a working day. A young team of staff was dealing capably with quite a full bar and restaurant when I checked in, but it might be worth a gentle reminder that a smiling warm welcome always improves the experience when guests arrive tired for a stay. Everyone should be supporting traditional historic hotels like this.
