The Old Red Lion Inn

Pros: Friendly service, attentive and caring staff. Atmosphere was warm and cosy in the hotel. Restaurant food excellent. Parking easy. Location great.

Cons: Cold room with no real extra blankets. Unusually low bed. Complicated TV for foreigners.

Pros: Comfy bed. Nice room, food nice in restaurant, staff friendly. Would recommend. Would go back.

Cons: No vegan options with cooked breakfast, but hosts knew I was dairy free and had ready some lactose free milk if I wanted it, so if you're vegan you could request the sausages in advance and they may be helpful. No downsides though apart from hotel is a bit out from the city centre.

Pros: Staff couldn’t do enough for you . Food was truly outstanding . Eat both nights and both nights food was amazing

Pros: It was a lovely little pub and the room was separate to the pub in a little accommodation type block. The room was very big and lovely. It had all we needed inside. The member of staff called Lucy was absolutely great. Very very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to have someone like that, she made our stay and made us feel very welcome

Cons: The only negative was there was a tea bag left in our little teapot. It had obviously been missed by the cleaners. but it wasnt a big problem and the staff were great about getting it sorted (Lucy)

Our stay overall was very good.

Pros: We were given a nice welcome on our arrival. Very efficient and helpful.

Cons: The bed in our room had a very soft mattress so not very good for back support, but the room itself was comfortable.

Pros: Friendly atmosphere, excellent food options in the restaurant and lots different drinks to choose from. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Excellent choice for a stay for a wedding nearby.

Pros: The staff were fantastic and the food excellent, both at breakfast and our evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Cons: The lighting in the room was a little dim.

This was a last minute decision to stay here and the Old Red Lion Inn didn’t disappoint us.

Pros: A large portion comfortable room, with amazing staff throughout.
