The Retreat Log Cabin

A wonderful, romantic getaway.

Pros: Location is amazing, so peaceful and tranquil. Cabin is clean, tidy and very cosy.

Cons: Only thing is the bed and sofas are a little uncomfortable. Everything else is perfect!

Pros: Lovely quiet place , lots of attention to detail throughout, plenty of different seating areas and very clean . The hosts were helpful and very friendly, we really enjoyed our stay and the views over the fields made it very special .

Nice comfortable stay, with a couple of small things that could be improved on but are by no means deal breakers

Pros: Nice location with a view over a field. Good size cabin, well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room.

Cons: The bed was quite squeaky. There was no soap in the bathroom. A bit noisy as the walls are thin.

Peaceful, well equipped, rural retreat!

Pros: Peaceful, rural location. Well equipped. Warm welcome from hosts. Outside dining area. Sun beds and cushions.

Cons: All good, nothing really springs to mind. Maybe there is one scratched saucepan needs replacing🤷‍♀️

A delightful and tranquil change of pace.

Pros: Tranquil setting, oasis of calm. Local wildlife right on the doorstep was magical. Spotlessly clean and tidy, very well equipped with cooking and cleaning facilities. Superb shower. Bed was so comfortable it was the best sleep we’ve had in ages. Lounge comfortable with tv. Homely touches across the cabin made this perfect, from arrival to departure. We were charmed to observe local rabbits playing in the field and garden.

Cons: Two solar fence lights weren’t working, but that didn’t bother us. The garden, veranda and porch was all stunning and we loved spending every evening outside.

Just what we need to get away and relax

Pros: Very peaceful and relaxing. Close enough to go out for trips but lovely enough to just stay there. View was amazing and had everything we needed. Having a massage at the pamper salon onsite was a lovely bonus.

Cons: The bed was a little creaky. But very comfortable all the same.

Pros: Location was amazing and if the weather was on are side it would have made it even more special with so many awesome walks and the views from the cabin are so good.

Cons: Unfortunately for the price the bed was so unfortable we debated leaving at 1am the second night and just driving home, i had planned a romantic weekend away from the kiddies and ask the big question but it was compromised due to getting very little sleep at all and a few minor details i found just let the overal appearance down which was part of the reason i booked as i planned to pop the question to my partner, the bunting out side had seen better days, the garden lights on the fence half didn't work. In the picture it showed lights hanging across the front of the retreat but they was none, which i was looking forward to setting a romantic scene with the light. Door stop was an ornimant that was broken. For how much it cost a night the overal standard just wasnt there.
