The Potting Shed

Lovely restful experience in nature

Pros: The potting shed experience was amazing. It kicked start strong with closed roads but thankfully Kaye was so helpful to make sure I could arrive and depart. The cabins were lovely, well decorated and well thought out with torch, tea bag and explanations. The fire pit and homemade products were the highlights (especially the cookies and I am not even a sweet tooth). It is not cold in the bedroom cabin thanks to the heater and thick duvet, all were really comfortable. I loved being outdoor and in nature. It was a really restful, lovely stay. I highly recommend.

An excellent stay, just what I needed after a busy week.

Pros: Above all I enjoyed the quietness and the seclusion. The facilities are really good and having homemade food and fresh eggs was an unexpected bonus. I walked the footpath across the fields to Manuden and enjoyed a drink at the Yew Tree pub. I'm sure many guests stay here because of it's proximity to Stansted Airport, but I was happy just sitting in the garden and relaxing. Yes, you can hear the planes sometimes, but I was never bothered by it.

Cons: Not a complaint: I had my own thermos flask and found it handy to fill it with hot water to use later rather than boiling the kettle again.

Perfect in every way!

Pros: Loved everything about this place. We had such a fab time and gutted we could only manage a brief visit. Kaye and Richard are lovely and have thought of everything. We’ll definitely return!

Pros: This was our first experience staying somewhere like this and the potting shed didn't disappoint it is so peaceful we loved being in the countryside with just the wildlife,just relaxing and doing absolutely nothing and going back to basics,the homemade goodies were a lovely touch as was the friendly cat who visited us daily for cuddles,we could of stayed alot longer and really didn't want to leave but we came home feeling lovely and refreshed and would 100% stay again thankyou

Cons: Nothing at all

Pros: Unusual and pleasant facilities ...very comfortable quiet very relaxing ..close to stanstead airport for our flight the next day ideal for what we needed.

Pros: Such a lovely and peaceful place to stay. Right in the countryside, we had everything we needed, and more.

Cons: Cornflakes and cheerio could of come to see us more (the cats) It was lovely, really.

Pros: We loved the little added touches, we were given fresh eggs, homemade bread and yummy biscuits. There was milk, jam and butter in the fridge. It was so lovely not having to take anything will us, it was all there. The shower was lovely and hot, the toiletries provided were excellent. The place was so quiet (bar the rooster 🤭) and it felt really private. We loved the wifi and having the tv in the bedroom too.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!

Pros: Fantastic place to stay when weather is good, it was for us. Very well equipped, comfortable and private. Great amenities - like glamping.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Pros: Kaye had baked bread and cookies and provided fresh eggs from her chickens-she thought of our every need for the stay-we wish we were there longer to fully enjoy
