Excellent tag in a cosy cottage

Pros: The place was very cosy and warm with a friendly feel.

Great stop over for those going to a day out at Snetterton

Pros: Spacious property with lots of room for parking. Very quiet and remote setting. Nice and cosy once the heating kicked in.

Quiet,quaint country retreat.

Pros: Quiet, beautiful grounds with freedom to roam, grandchildren loved the conker tree! , privacy. Beautiful bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Lovely decor, beautiful rugs, lamps. Plenty of hooks on back of doors. well equipped kitchen.

Cons: Showers. Mira shower needs fixing, window blind too short for privacy. Lounge very snug for a large party. I’d make amazing large bedroom into a lounge with a sofa bed and snug into a dining room giving more space to kitchen

Cosy cottage, full of charm and character set in the peaceful Norfolk countryside.

Pros: We liked the quiet, rural location in the Norfolk countryside and the four good sized bedrooms. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, clean and everything worked. The two shower rooms and large bathrooms were also all clean. There was plenty of parking on the gravel driveway. The house has plenty of character and the gardens were lovely. Unfortunately, it was raining for a lot of our stay, so we didn't get to enjoy the gardens as much as we might have liked but it was beautiful to look at and really relaxing. There was plenty of interesting art on the walls and lots of original features. We really enjoyed staying here.

Cons: The living space is quite small for a property that is supposed to take up to 7 people. It was fairly cosy with 5 adults, which suited our needs, but I think 7 would have been a squeeze. Some of the paintwork in the house and the enamel in the bath needs refreshing and the stairs are quite uneven and creaky, but that is to be expected with a period property. There are a few things that need a little maintenance, which we reported to the owners, but if there was one thing that I would change it is that the sign on the gate post is very small and hard to read from the road.

Perfect location for our fishing trip to Rocklands Mere. Just wish we could have spent more time at the Old Rectory enjo

Relaxing and cosy

Pros: Beautiful property and lovely hosts who helped answer lots of questions before our visit. The rooms upstairs were lovely and very comfortable. The hosts had very kindly left cooking basics in the kitchen. The grounds were very serene.

Cons: The kitchen and lounge were slightly smaller than I would expect for a property that sleeps 7, however our party was only 4 so worked for us.

Remote and authentic cottage, tasteful mod cons.

Pros: This very isolated location suited our needs. The cottage was very authentic and charming, with appropriate decor features. Most of us slept very well.

Cons: The first shower room (one of two) was out of order. In a house of this age, noise can travel upwards, which caused some disturbance to the tranquility.
