Very pleased with the property overall, no issues at all

Pros: Host was there to meet me and gave me a quick tour and run down of the property. Very friendly host

Cons: Maybe a small freezer in the building, but it wasn’t much of an issue to go to the freezer round back

Pros: I really appreciated how spacious and well-equipped Dolly Cottage was. Everything I needed for a longer stay was provided, including toiletries, cleaning equipment, and plenty of storage. The Sky TV and private parking space were also big positives, and it was great to have the option for bedding and towels to be washed on request. Pauline was very attentive and helpful throughout, greeting me on arrival, showing me around, and even offering to arrange extra parking permits if needed. The location was great; only a 5–10 minute walk to the hospital, which made it very convenient. Overall, the cottage felt private, practical, and comfortable. Some facilities, like washing machines and extra parking permits, were available at an additional cost, which could be useful for those who need them. I should also add that Pauline's gorgeous cat was a lovely friendly addition to my entry and exit from the property each day! :)

Cons: There were a few spiders during my stay, which is to be expected at that time of year, though they were manageable. The bathroom mirror wasn’t wired in, but this was only a minor detail in an otherwise very well-equipped space. The kitchen window didn’t have a blind, which wasn’t an issue most of the time, but on the occasions when someone was using the shed behind (where the freezer and washing machine are kept), it did feel a little less private. Overall, these were small points that didn’t take away from the comfort and practicality of the stay.

Amazing cottage, lovely lady.

Pros: Pauline was absolutely lovely and so understanding with us. Her instructions were very clear and we didn’t struggle to get anything working. She was asked by my partner to create a set up for my birthday and she did just that, we had a lovely stay and would happily stay again.

Cons: Everything was good, no dislikes.

Pros: I stayed at Dolly Cottage for 5 weeks on a hospital placement. It was a 5 minute walk to the hospital, about 15-30 min walk to shops and train station. There is a bus stop at the top of the road. It has its own entrance so it does not feel like you are staying in someone's garden. Pauline and her daughter were very helpful with all enquiries and needs required during my stay.

Pros: Lovely property, we have stayed before, very friendly and welcoming host who is always on hand to help There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Pros: the cottage is located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood, it was so clean and tidy with every thing you need for a long stay. Pauline, the host is very welcoming and helpful and she respects the host privacy. thank you Pauline.

Dolly cottage is at the end of quiet cul de sac yet it is very easy to get to all parts of Colchester and beyond.

Pros: Everything you could want in a small self contained apartment. The kitchen facilities are great and the tv and internet work well. The shower room and toilet is very clean and provides plenty of hot water.

Cons: Nothing.

Perfect stay!

Pros: Great venue. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The host was very welcoming and friendly. All comforts for a stay away from home.
