Basic and good value

Pros: Convenient for Cambridge - in a motorway service area

Cons: The lock on the window was broken, so could not get any fresh air. The first room we were allocated had mould on the bathroom ceiling, but the reception staff changed it without any fuss.

Cons: Only 1,towel per room, even though 2 people were booked in?? Had to go to reception dripping wet for another. Company policy to only give 1 per room. It’s not as if they are massive thick towels, they are average size and very thin. Not good promotion for hygiene, not impressed by this policy. Aldo ate breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. Not the best experience. It was all very disjointed. Whilst everything cooked was available, none was available at the same time. So you either went without or stood for 10mins or more to get what you wanted. Every time something ran out, the chef had to be prompted to recook and refill by the customers, it became a frustrating joke!!! At 9.30am there were no Croissants at all, or pastries. As a customer I complained to reception. The young man was more than apologetic, and immediately went to see the chef. The chef was overheard by several people to say that he would have to cook more. When asked to do so, he wasn’t very happy. The pastries and croissants that had been put out originally must have been from the day before, as they were taken out of a plastic box that had been in the fridge. They were stone cold and hard. Not exactly fresh???! There is a lot of competition at the services with plenty of variety to choose from to eat. All about the same price. Probably would go elsewhere rather than eat in hotel!!

Pros: The staff went above and beyond to assist in contacting booking.com when I realised I had booked for an incorrect date. On site dining delicious and good value for money

Comfortable and good value for money

Pros: Good location, comfortable and quiet room. Helpful staff. Restaurant on site serving evening meals and breakfast, plus bar and sitting area. Other food outlets next door. Good value for money and free parking a bonus.

Cons: If possible a lift for accessibility to bedrooms for those with mobility problems

Pros: Perfect stopover with security in the parking area .
