There’s also a bus stop just around the corner with regular services into the centre of Cambridge. One of the best ways to take in the sights is on a punt along the River Cam and, in the evening, see the city from a different perspective as it comes alive with cocktail bars and clubs. Elsewhere, Duxford’s Imperial War Museum has more than 300 aircraft on display, while Newmarket beckons for a day at the races. Great hotel clise to Cambridge and Stansted airport, we really recommend it.

Pros: The hotel is really nice. Our room was bigger than in other hotels and the bed was very huge and comfortable, we had a very good sleep there. Also, there was an extra electric heater in case we were cold. The breakfast was also very tasty.

Cons: We found some rubbish by the window next to the sofa but otherwise we loved our stay there.

Pros: The beds were amazing 👏 I slept so well. Rooms were clean and well stocked and a great price and location for our needs. Food was lovely too and staff were very friendly and welcoming 🙏 definitely would go back.

Cons: Walls are paper thin (take earplugs lol) we went out for the day and came back to our room unlocked from the cleaners, thankfully nothing was stolen etc we told reception and we did get a couple of drinks tokens as an apology.

A conveniently placed and affordable option when visiting Cambridge.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently situated for access to Cambridge city centre without suffering the extortionate price hikes found in the centrally located hotels. Staff at Bar Hill friendly and helpful at all times.

Ideal location for Cambridge

Pros: We had a dog friendly room which we were very pleased with. It was a big room and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, the staff were very nice and both the food and wine were great. Location was perfect being close to Cambridge for a day out and then for getting onto the A14.

Cons: The bath hadn't been cleaned that well, there was a line around the bath! The rest of the bathroom was clean as was the room and all the linen was fresh. It didn't bother us a we had a shower and we had been staying in campsites for the previous 3 weeks, so it was nice to have a bathroom to ourselves.

Comfortable and welcoming

Pros: Bed was very comfy and room was clean. The bar staff were friendly and it's a great location to get the number 5 bus into the city.

Cons: It was a bit noisy at night with the doors locks slamming, but otherwise quiet location, considering it is near a main road

Its a great place to stay

Pros: It was really a surprise, a huge room with a king size bed and a sofa in the room. Close to the town center. The bed was comfortable, plenty of room.

Cons: There is an extra charge for parking your car, Not sure if it is mentioned. I booked this just an hour before we arrived and I may have overlooked that fact.

Better than expected. Great value and the location was much quieter than we had anticipated bearing in mind how close to

Pros: Quiet room with a comfy bed made for a good night’s sleep. The hotel Receptionist and the man working behind the bar were both lovely (friendly and helpful).

Cons: Only one vegan main dish on the menu, so we decided to go out and eat instead. Lady behind the bar wasn’t exactly warm and customer focused - she gave the impression she didn’t really want to be there.
