Nice 2 bedroom house in Stowmarket

Warm and cosy house with clean and modern facilitiess

Pros: Location was excellent - very close to the town centre. The house was very clean, warm and comfortable with a nice kitchen and two modern shower rooms. The bedrooms were okay- a little spartan in my opinion but fine for sleeping. We parked right outside the door. The keys were easy to access. The television was great - lots of streaming channels.

Cons: The kitchen equipment was basic to say the least. I think a few more utensils and cooking equipment would be good, especially as it has a nice kitchen where in theory you could eat in if you wanted to. The garden is totally unappealing. You wouldn't want to sit out there in the summer- needs a makeover! There were a few brownish damp patches in the sitting room and downstairs bathroom. The stairs were really shallow, very difficult to get up and down safely. The trains were a little noisy at night. On the whole though it was a good visit and we would come again.

Great house in Stowmarket

Pros: I booked accommodation for colleagues working in the local area, and enjoyed their stay. Tim was a great host; friendly, responsive, and attentive throughout their stay. The property was ideally located, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, making it a perfect base for their work trip.

Cons: The place was great, though the kitchen didn’t have many utensils, and parking was a bit tricky at times.

Pros: Very nice and clean . Owner met us there which was good. Owner replied if we had to contact him as we were messaging him with a time that we would arrive there.

Pros: Great little house with everything you need in it. Close to all amenities but on a quiet street.

Pros: A neat, clever design of an old property. The owner bought us milk.

Cons: The back bedroom needs a table lamp. You need to leave a tea towel. Tea bags, jar of coffee and milk always would be nice.

A very welcome experience in a quirky house

Pros: Very nice owner. We felt very welcome in this 'quirky' house. It does not have a standard, but it works well.

Cons: The staircase to the bedrooms has rather large steps. You have to be 'awake' to use it.

Clean and well set up

Pros: The cottage was clean and well set up with everything you might need. The bed was comfortable. All the appliances worked. It was easy to get the key to the property.

Cons: Street parking was congested, and I generally found parking spaces a distance from the cottage. This was a downside because it was frequently pelting with rain, and I had paper products to move to and fro from the car. Neither caused me any issue, but future visitors might like to know both that, the stairs are unusually steep and narrow and that, there is a railway crossing at one end of the street which makes warning pings.
