First time in Suffolk

Pros: The location is great. Right on the High Street. As we went out of season, it wasn't busy or too noisy, but I can imagine in the summer it would be a different matter. There's a bathroom downstairs, which was handy and an ensuite to the double room at the front. We actually found the back bedroom bed more comfortable, so chose to sleep in there. But there were only two of us. We enjoyed the woodburner in the living room. Kitchen was well equipped. Didn't use the garden as weather didn't really allow. Aldeburgh and surrounding areas are charming with lots to explore.

Cons: We had an issue with the WiFi, which was rectified quickly but could not get streaming services on the TV.

Lovely, central, cosy cottsge stay

Pros: Lovely holiday home, perfect for four people. We had a lovely stay, kitchen was well equipped and beds were comfortable.

Cons: The property was perfect for our needs, but perhaps not for everyone as the stairs to the bedrooms were quite steep. There’s also only one proper shower in the en suite upstairs. The second bedroom has to use the bathroom on the ground floor, which means going down the steep steps. That bathroom only has a bathtub with a handheld shower attachment and a sloping ceiling, so it’s not ideal for taller guests.

Good value, well located, rental which suited our party size well

Pros: Excellent position on Aldeburgh High Street. Suitably equipped for short stay. Mostly, very clean. Comfortable beds.

Cons: Noisy. As expected, with fish and chip shop next door and busy high street. Big spiders’ web on kitchen window.

Pros: Bath , constant hot water , comfortable bed, outdoor space - but the garden was in need of care and attention to make it more inviting . It looked abandoned !!

Cons: Coming out of the front door to face the chip shop bins , public toilets down the side of the cottage. No toilet roll holder in en-suite , no full length mirror in either bedroom , no holder in shower en-suite for shower gel etc

We had a very enjoyable stay at Pelican Cottage and would happily stay there again!!

Pros: We loved the location of the property. We were lucky with the parking in the street during our stay as we were out most of the days and back in time for the parking restrictions.

Cons: The property could do with a little attention in some areas. The windows didn’t shut very well in the green bedroom. There was no toilet roll holder in the en suite and no bins in the bedrooms.

Pelican cottage - wonderful location - and lovely accommodation

Pros: The location was excellent - the property was just like the pictures and we were made aware of steep stairs , Parking was easy

Cons: The little patio garden good to do with a little bit of love but it by no means ruined the stay just a small observation

Pros: Excellent location, clean house had everything we needed.

Cons: Not a negative for us but stairs are very steep, we were warned. Downstairs bathroom was a bit tight.

Pros: Loved it, great location and facilities , clean and we thoroughly enjoyed it

Cons: Spruce up the garden

Pros: Perfect for a short visit to help family. Location good in centre of high street - albeit very close to Fish & Chip shop and queue could be outside property - for food, evening drinks etc.

Cons: Parking if leaving early is fine - but if you wanted to leave the car for a few hours after 09:00 - then you would need to park a fair bit away for any free parking. There is pay-&-park nearby.
