Pros: It was set in a stunning location, very calm and peaceful and away from busy roads but only a short drive into Cambridge. The bedrooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable although a little basic but the value for money was exceptional. A massive variety of breakfast options were available and could set you up for the day.The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like and have made our 3rd booking to return back there .

Who doesn't want to stay in a stately home for £76 a night?

Pros: Still the cheapest by miles in the Cambridge area. Have been before and will stay again. No stately home stay is better value. Breakfast is hearty and the beds are comfy. The Three Horsehoes pub does excellent food and is a short walk from the hall.

Cons: Stronger coffee at breakfast would be welcome.

Pros: The attractive building is set in beautiful grounds. We stayed in room 51, which was very peaceful and overlooked a walled garden. The breakfast was cooked to order on the first day. On the second day, it was bufffet style. There was ample parking, all be it a short walk away from the accommodation. Park and ride for Cambridge is a short drive away, which we found useful.

Cons: The fridge did not work, and neither did the shaver point. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our two nights stay.

We would be happy to book a return visit.

Pros: Lovely location and building. Our room was spacious and looked out onto gardens. The cooked breakfast was tasty and hot and with a good selection of pastries and fruit. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: The temperature control on the shower was a bit tricky but overall no complaints!

Lovely hotel just outside Cambridge. Close to park and ride so easy access into Cambridge.

Pros: Loved the location of the hall and grounds. The place seemed very well kept and clean. Every member of staff was so friendly and open. The breakfast was yummy and had everything you could have wanted.

Cons: The check in time was quite late in the day so we didnt get to enjoy the location as much as we could have as we arrived after it was dark.

Pros: Madingley Hall is set in wonderful parkland. We have stayed here before and love the place for its wonderfully peaceful and historic atmosphere and the beautiful gardens. Breakfast (buffet) is very tasty and served in a magnificent room. The beds are omfy.

Cons: A bit of noise from slamming doors of other guests. Bedroom and bathroom were a llittle too chilly, the radiators did nto seem to warm up properly..

Pros: The building and location are stunning. It was a perfect little get away. The staff were extremely friendly and polite

Cons: The breakfast items were not stocked up very quickly so by the time something was refilled other things were run out in the hot food section

Pros: What a lovely, castle-like stone building. Very big! You need to remember how to get to your room, it was fantastic to stay there. Set in beautiful countryside, with manicured gardens. Perfect for a honeymoon getaway or anniversary or birthday special occasion.
