Poets House

Superb <3

Pros: We had a superb stay at Poets House. I genuinely can't find a single negative thing to say about the place. We had a beautiful large room, quiet, comfortable and with an amazing view on Ely Cathedral. Everything we needed was present in the room: slippers, towels, toiletteries, tea and coffee, biscuits... The hotel is at a few minutes walk from the railway station, the Cathedral and the High Street with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the breakfast in the room, and it was amazing! Dinner was excellent as well. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing

Pros: Beautiful room. Quiet and comfortable. Very clean . Love the huge bath and shower . Room large and king-size bed. Tea coffee crisps biscuits. Towelling robes and slippers. Small bottles of shampoos etc. Plenty of good quality towels. Close to shops and catheral. Breakfast was superb perfect. Staff friendly.

Pros: Beautiful building, great location, large room with comfortable bed

Cons: Breakfast could have been better. Good variety but eggs not great and small portions

Great stay at poets house

Pros: Staff were helpful and very friendly, food was amazing, room and added extras were lovely and the location was perfect.

Cons: Lack of wardrobe space and would have been nice to have draws yo put clothes away.

Wonderful Valentine’s Day treat

Pros: Clean, well arranged and operated. Great location for visiting the Cathedral. Lift to all rooms.

Cons: Parking is limited.

Wonderful luxurious stay

Pros: Very large comfortable bedroom with lounge area and copper bath. Spacious shower and bathroom. Smart bar area and exceptional food in the restaurant. Staff all very helpful.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Fantastic hotel with wonderful staff

Pros: Excellent hotel with incredibly friendly staff, excellent breakfast.

Cons: Very well presented, clean and located within a short walk to the cathedral.

It was not as good as i expected

Pros: The building, location and the rooms are lovely. Staff helpful

Cons: The menu was very standard. I expect more awareness of current food trends,more choice, fresh fruit options at breakfast etc. The interior design was pleasant but lacked flair. If you pay this much you want exceptional not standard.

Pros: Service was great. Got a room upgrade free of charge. Food was fantastic. Room was comfortable and a lovely bed with a fantastic bath in the room.

Cons: First world problems! The room was so big that it was difficult for the heating in the room to actually warm it up to a decemt temperature. Also, the only other comment was some of the staff were a little unfriendly, however still professional.

A wonderful and very memorable stay in a comfortable room. We won't hesitate to book again.

Pros: The room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely view towards the cathedral. The bathroom was very large and well equipped with a large walk in shower and separate bath. Very nice. The restaurant was excellent and service very good. A nice, spacious and comfortable modern bar area was also enjoyable. The hotel location was very convenient, just on the edge of the main shops so everything was in easy reach. Ideally situated in the historic part for visit to the cathedral and Oliver Cromwell's house.

Cons: The room overlooked a main road so there was some traffic noise but late at night this wasn't a problem. The wonderful view across the green towards the cathedral more than compensated for slight traffic noise.
