Great value, unique experience.

Pros: Really great value for the room, beautiful interiors especially in the lobby and library. Main restaurant was closed but food was served in library and was excellent. Very friendly staff.

Cons: Some areas a bit tired but looks like there's renovations going on. Bathroom was a little dated compared to the rest of the room.

A v good stay. Comfortable & warm in the hotel, despite very wet weather.

Pros: Average breakfast selection because there were on-going alteration/ painting/ upgrading some rooms & there were not the usual number of guests. Always fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal choices, bread, cooked selection available.

Cons: Preferable to have all areas of hotel available to guests.

we love staying here at the Orwell and will continue to do so all in all it is a good hotel.

Pros: staff were very helpful the hotel is slowly being refurbished and is a good thing are room was lovely with a big bathroom and a nice comfy room the central heating is fixed now and was really good.

Cons: checking out at ten am is to soon should be eleven am it would just give time for two people to breakfast, shower, pack, etc.

Lovely comfortable relaxing stay.

Pros: Always a lovely comfortable stay with lovely staff in a great location.

Cons: The car park didn’t become lit until quite a while after dark, as it gets quite full at times it can be difficult to navigate the uneven surfaces in certain areas especially when parking on the far edges.I understand the hotel is undergoing considerable improvements and hope this matter may be looked at.

Nice short break.

Pros: Nice hotel with parking. Pleasant room with everything you need.

Cons: Radiator leaking and carpet wet so had to move room but was dealt with.

Only one night but pleasant and good value for money.

Pros: The room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was first class.

Cons: In common with many hotels there was very little room to put washing and shaving equipment razor, water pick, tooth brush etc. I ended up putting it in the bath.
