Enjoyable. My husband knew about Thomas Paine so it was an interesting place for us to visit.

Pros: Thomas Paine Hotel is the only hotel with a museum ie of Thomas Paine. Large room and crisp cotton bed linen.

Cons: We were the only guests, possibly due to winter season. They said they open for larger events eg weddings.

Fabulous choice we definitely will be back and the ovners are very friendly couple. Top marks 💯

Great place to stay in Thetford.

Pros: What an interesting place to stay in Thetford. Very warm welcome and offered a room upgrade to my last minute booking. Room large and bed very comfortable - lovely duvet and pillows and nice bathroom. Hadn't heard of Thomas Paine before but the hotel has a fascinating area with panels about the man who was born in Thetford and involved himself in the American and French revolutions as well as bridge building. The bar was friendly and comfortable Location in town very convenient for all points if interest. Ancient House Museum just a few doors down the road. No breakfast offered at booking - but easy to take along and there's a Tesco express opposite which opens at 6 or a cafe down the road open from 9.

Pros: This is a well maintained, clean, and very comfortable place to stay. the staff are friendly and very attentive. Great selection of drinks. very secure parking.

Well kept interesting building.

Pros: Lovely historic building with interesting features. Plenty of instant hot water which can be a problem with old buildings. Close to town centre and other facilities.

Cons: Food not available during the week.

Pros: Clean, quiet even though it was fully booked! The manager was friendly and went out of his way to talk to us, he seemed genuinely interested in why we were visiting. The room was lovely and clean!!!

Great value and high standards

Pros: I chose this hotel after researching hotels in the area, near to the venue of a wedding and it did not let me down. This is a superb , clean comfortable hotel and we felt very much at home. High standards of interiors including bathroom and a comfortable bed. The downstairs area and bar looked welcoming and interesting. Unfortunately we did not get a chance with our schedule. The manager was very hospitable and helpful.

The Friendly Hotel

Pros: What a fantastic and friendly welcome the landlord and his team went well beyond the call of duty to make me feel at home. Highly recommended and most assuredly where I will stay next time I'm in Thetford.

Staff made us feel welcome, great location. Would stay again.

Pros: Polite staff and made us feel welcome the moment we walked through to door . Rooms were big and comfortable. Great location.

Cons: We only had tea in our room, no coffee and one towel but it didn't affect our stay.
