Bell by Greene King Inns

Pros: Really friendly staff and lovely size rooms, breakfast was a great selection and very tasty. The food in the restaurant was lovely and a good variety.

Cons: Nothing bad to say

Pros: Food was good. Was particularly impressed with the breakfast. Room was very quiet.

Cons: Bed too soft for my liking.

A comfortable and welcoming hotel with extraordinarily good staff.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Thetford, and has plenty of parking. It is an old building, with considerable character. The outstanding feature was the helpfulness and courtesy of all the staff I met; in this respect this was one of the best hotel stays I have experienced.

Fine for a 1-2 night stay but will need doing up for longer stays

Pros: The local area was lovely, the bed was confortable and clean.

Cons: Room left dated and needs a renovation shortly due old tired materials.

Good for one night stay

Pros: In the middle of Thetford so no distance to shops. The bedroom was a nice surprise with a four poster bed and settees! The breakfast was good with variety.

Cons: It is in need of some TLC! The bar area was cold and lacking in atmosphere. Some furniture was in disrepair!

Lovely location, facilities and friendly staff

Pros: It is such a convenient location right in the centre of town and close to the family we were visiting. The breakfast was delicious - I had the pancakes. The staff were all attentive, professional and friendly. The bed was comfortable and it was very peaceful.

Cons: The pancakes were my second choice. I had wanted the avocado and eggs but sadly the avocado delivery was delayed. There was no hook on the bathroom door to hang any clothing - this was a minor inconvenience. The rest of the facilities in the room are all top notch.

Pros: The food served in the restaurant and the bar was excellent, they was a good choose. All the staff were very friendly (especially the restaurant and bar staff) and took time to give us some useful information regarding the town we were staying in. I would definitely recommend the Bell Inn to friends and family, and would stay there again. The whole experience of our (joint birthday treat for myself and a close friend) stay really made it extra special.

Conveniently located in town, comfortable room, great breakfast, historical links to Dad's Army.

Pros: Great quality breakfast, warm room, loved the double poster bed and the links back to the Dad's Army crew during filming in the 1960s. Staff loaned me a phone charging plug which was most appreciated.

Cons: A lift would be much appreciated (I was on the second floor), although I did note that there was no lift at the premises when I booked it. Some softer pillows too wouldn't go a miss.

Pros: The hotel is lovely, pretty much all staff were amazing, bed was amazing, breakfast was gorgeous and the whole place has a nice feel to it, will definitely stay again when up that way.

Cons: Literally there were only 3 things we could say.....the light in the toilet didn't work which wasnt a problem, the bath and shower need a sort as mould in the silicone which doesnt look great and when we arrived the first lady that greeted us wasnt great and didn't seem like she wanted to be there, obviously just having a bad day as we all do.
