Pros: Really friendly and welcoming reception staff. Very nicely decorated communal areas (bar and snug etc) of the hotel. Nice room and good shower pressure. Conveniently close to Stansted although, like all UK airports, the taxi price feels extortionate for the journey length. I wish I arrived earlier for my stay to have enjoyed the hotel longer!

Lovely place to stay, great staff and excellent value for money

Pros: The staff were so lovely. The location was excellent and the room was a good size, excellent shower, good hairdryer and great bar and restaurant. It is directly under the flight pathway so is airplane noise during daytime, however this is to be expected and just bring earplugs!

Wonderful stay

Pros: Beautiful scenery, the man who greeted us at reception was so friendly and lovely. The food was delicious, if a little pricey. But overall it was a lovely experience

Cons: The food was quite expensive for what it was, and the service was quite sparse, but we stayed when the hotel was quiet so maybe thats why

Nice little stay

Pros: The room was large, warm and very comfortable. Bar food was reasonably priced as were the drinks. Staff were friendly and check in was quick.

Cons: TV reception was a bit iffy.

Pros: Fabulous overnight stay from welcoming reception, comfortable room with great views of the woods. The food and staff.in the bar and restaurant were lovely. The hotels grounds were nice to walk around. We would definately come again

Pros: The room, the breakfast, the lovely garden, and not too many people. Beautiful building.

Cons: Noisy as I was on the top floor, and the shower, had a lot of lime scale on shower door, very noticeable and on the ledge at the bottom.

Pros: Big room. Spacious bathroom. Good shower. Easy parking. Nice restaurant. Nice hotel grounds. Convenient for the motorway and airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall the level of the hotel was well above the the cost of the room.

Cons: Quite a few lightbulbs flickered - room and restaurant. TV needed retuning - channel numbers were all over the place.
