A relaxing, fun stay - perfect for quality time with my daughter

Pros: Our telly didn't work and the staff were really kind and helpful and tried to fix it. When it couldn't be fixed they immediately gave us a new room with a working telly.

Cons: Nothing!

Perfect for Relaxing

Pros: We love our room. It's clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and nice. Serene environment, perfect for relaxing. The food were delish. We booked a room that is quite a walk from the reception and dining place, but the receptionists were kind enough to offer a lift.

Cons: We just stayed for a night. We should've stayed longer

Pros: The Buildings and set up was perfect. Stunning what they have done with an old farm.

Cons: Small details would raise the stay. Cheap toilet roll, shampoo and body wash. Presentation of staff, casual but very Tardy. Unironed shirts. Staff member serving full of the cold. Not good. Food served cold. Evening meal and breakfast warm but not hot.

A very nice getaway for a couple of days!

Pros: Liked the location, would be better in summer with dry weather, liked the coffee shop, had nice room in new block, was lovely and quiet, meal in Cowshed was good, breakfast very nice, all staff very helpful

Cons: Would have preferred a lounge within dry walking distance, we stayed playing a game for 3 hours in the coffee shop as the bar doesn’t open until 5pm, no other place to go. Also check in not til 3pm with check out 11am is not even a day. Also was only 1 bath towel in each room for two people?

Cozy weekend with a lake view

Pros: We got the lake hut with alfresco tub, and it was amazing. The room was nice and cozy, the hot tub was ready for us to use, and the view was really nice. The breakfast was really yummy, and we also enjoyed the dinner at the main restaurant. The entire farm is dog friendly, which we really appreciated as we traveled with our dog - a bowl and a bed were ready for her in the hut, and she came to all our meals. We also got roasted marshmallows when we came back from our walk - the little fires and the tiny cafe that serves hot chocolate and mulled wine were very Christmasy.

One night's quick stopover in Hertfordshire

Pros: Great location, lots of different areas, bars and facilities.

Cons: Noisy air-conditioning in the room, but it wasn't turned on. Leaky shower, water spread all across the bathroom floor.

Amazing stay lovely and clean Great Lake cabins

Pros: Clean, brand new appliances and attention to detail

Cons: Only think was food items missing from the menu at the bar so limited food

Good value and generally comfortable and easy.

Pros: Room was well located as we have mobility issues. Breakfast excellent.

Cons: We had twin beds. One of them slid away from the wall following slightest movement and pillows fell down the back. Beds either need securing better or headboards provided. Also there was no handrail at all in the shower and as I can't stand up for long I could not use it.

A great rural escape

Pros: Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. We liked our Riverside house with the wood fire hot tub and the wood heater. My partner enjoyed lighting the wood heater.

Cons: The sofa in the lounge area was rather small
