Colston Hall Farmhouse B&B

Pleasant overnight stay in a peaceful and tranquil location. I could happily have stayed for longer.

Pros: Lovely quiet and peaceful rural location. Excellent shower. Good breakfast. Friendly and welcoming hosts.

Fabulous b&b in a quiet area of Suffolk

Pros: Had a lovely welcome from the host who was very accommodating. I stayed in a single room which had a very comfortable single bed with a cosy quilt. The breakfast was superb with a selection of cereal, bread (with your own toaster at the table), freshly cut fruit, orange juice, coffee and a cooked breakfast. I cycled to the b&b but it may have been better with other transport as it was too far to go for dinner at the closest pub/hotel! It was very quiet.

Short stay to explore the area

Pros: Lovely location and very friendly owners. Great breakfast. Room (single) perfect with a nice ensuite with excellent shower.

Pros: Peaceful rural location in beautiful traditional farmhouse but also çlose to Framlingham. The breakfast was very good as was the evening meal at nearby Dennington Queen pub.

Cons: It was perfect for our visit to historic churches in the area.

August bank holiday, nearby Wedding

Pros: The accommodation was very good in a beautiful setting with parking close to the room. The room was clean and well provided for with an excellent shower. Tea and coffee making facilities also available. Breakfast was well set out and catered for most needs, you could ask for different item ie yoghurt etc if required. Host was very accommodating in changing the room to a more suitable one for our needs. This location was ideal for us to attend a wedding ceremony close by.

Cons: Would have preferred tea cups being washed each day as the room facilities didn't provide suitable cleaning products.

Pros: This was a really sweet B&B! The owners were so lovely and friendly, and made us a delicious cooked breakfast. The bed and room was beautiful (four poster!) and the bathroom really new and clean. We loved it here, would come again.

We were made to feel welcome, the 4 poster was very grand and the breakfast surpassed my expections

Pros: Beautiful, peaceful setting. Very comfortable room and nice bathroom with a fantastic shower. I didn't have cooked breakfast. Genius idea - each table has its own toaster so you can have hot toast when you want it.

Cons: It was all satisfactory and much better than the more expensive hotel room I had the night before.

Pros: We stayed in a lovely twin room (called The Loose Box) in the adjoining annexe. The place was absolutely spotless with nice furnishings, excellent en suite shower room and very comfortable beds. There were also a number of pub/restaurants within easy distance for an evening meal, which was much appreciated. Breakfast at Colston Hall was delicious - a full English, cooked to order, along with cereals and plenty of toast. A really pleasant location with plenty of parking space, which we would definitely recommend to future visitors....and we would love to go back there ourselves one day! Thank you, Colston Hall.

Lovely setting

Pros: The setting in Suffolk farmland was lovely. My room was very nice with comfy bed. Breakfast was in lovely conservatory.

Cons: The fried Breakfast though good, was greasy, and undercooked.
